Viajar a París es la tarea pendiente de muchos en la vida, y es algo relativamente fácil de realizar.
Traveling to Paris is the outstanding task of many in life, and is relatively easy to accomplish.
The first time I traveled to Paris and I visited the city I liked it but I was not surprised, it was just as I imagined it and with the same typical Parisian atmosphere that you breathe in the movies. My second visit to the city, although faster thanks to a large stopover between flights, served me to get a little closer to her.
What to visit in Paris if you have little time
The visit to Paris would start with its main attraction, once there: Why waste time?
To see the Eiffel Tower, you have to get off at the Trocadero metro stop, and once in the street around the corner, the building will appear before you across the river. From there is where you can get the best photos.
As in all monuments, if you want to visit the tower quietly, it is best to go early and avoid long lines. The view from the top certainly worth it and can help you to get you in the city. Although in my opinion, the best views are nocturnal, although you have to wait longer to climb.
Crossing again to Trocadero, strolling along the av. D’Iena in 30 minutes you reach another of the most famous monuments of Paris; The Arc de Triomphe. It is strategically located in one of the most risky roundabouts in the world. Do not play your life to get past him, there is an underground passage.
The views from the top are beautiful, but I recommend you choose between the Eiffel tower and the arch if you have little time.
The tour of the city continues on the av. From the Champs Elysees until you reach the Place de la Concorde; Unmistakable by the Obelisk.
The Champs Elysees are full of shops. The best thing you can do is buy a crepe filled with nutella to accompany you on the walk through the Jardin des Tuileries.
This way you will reach the Louvre. It is undoubtedly one of the most important museums in the world, with great works of art, but if your time is limited, you must value your priorities.
Returning to Rue Saint Honoré, you will visit two of the most famous squares in Paris. The first one you will find is the Place Vendome, built in the 17th century and has been the center of a multitude of historical events in the city.
Less than 10 minutes away is the Place de la Madeleine with the church that gives it the name that, at first glance, looks like a Greek temple.
Neighborhood of Montmartre, Another must-see in Paris
The visit to the Sacre Coeur and the Montmartre district is a must. I saw it on my second to Paris, just like this was what changed my view of the city.
The neighborhood is made up of small labyrinthine streets that finally give to the square in which are its well-known cafes and the painters. After a while admiring that place where it seems that time does not pass, walk to the front of the Sacre Coeur.
The views of Paris from their stairs are breathtaking. Sit down for a while and enjoy them, the best thing about travel is not to rush.
Go down those fairytale stairs and stroll through the streets until you reach the famous Moulin Rouge. If you are not going to see a show, it is worth seeing at night, so you will see it lit up, which is much more special.
Lose yourself for the Latin Quarter
Walking around the Latin Quarter is one of the best things to do in Paris. None of the main monuments are there, but you do not need them. Its salles are full of bars and typical shops.
If your visit to the Latin Quarter coincides with lunchtime, I recommend that you go in one of their bisto or fondue restaurants (my favorites)
Ile de la Cite; The island of the treasure
Approach to the river bank, on the other side you will see the Ile de la Cite and the unmistakable towers of Notre dame.
This is another must-see in the city. On the island, the cathedral of Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle await you. Two Gothic treasures that I keep to enter the next time I travel to Paris since for time I have not been able to visit the previous times.
These are some of my “must do” in Paris to get the most out of a 2-day visit to the city of light. But above all, enjoy the view of each of its neighborhoods, this is how cities are really known.
